Having an ironmongery schedule enables the project to run smoothly in relation to the supply and installation of the architectural ironmongery. The qualified scheduler will quote for the correct ironmongery required for each door, keeping in mind the latest regulations and recommendations.

 

At design stage, it is always ideal that the architect / designer and architectural ironmonger have interaction on decisions to ensure all aspects of the project are met:

 

  • Budget

 

  • Design

 

  • Security

 

Having these discussions will highlight what is required design and security wise, and how this can be achieved within the schedule at the correct cost.

 

Once the schedule is compiled and signed off, it offers a precise document for the site contractor / joiner on what items are required for each individual door.
